Application/deployment examples...
AudioTX
WebStream is a reliable hardware solution for audio
and broadcast streaming applications. It can both
encode your audio, and also stream it. A broadcast
quality solution capable of servicing audio streams
for the largest radio stations (and the smallest)
with ease. |

Stereo
audio signal is connected to AudioTX WebStream inputs. A single
unit carries out the functions of both Encoding the audio
and acts as the Streaming Server. Audio can be encoded (and
streamed) in as many as 6 different format/bitrate combinations...
for example, a high-bitrate MP3 and AAC stream, plus lower
bitrate versions of each. |

Multiple
stereo or mono audio signals are connected to the inputs on
a WebStream 3U-8 or 3U-16 unit. A single unit carries out
the functions of both Encoding the audio programmes and acts
as the Streaming Server. Audio can be encoded (and streamed)
in a total of up to 12 different format/bitrate combinations. |
|
|
In
many cases, the Encoding will be done at one location (normally
the studio) and the actual Streaming from another location
(normally an ISP location or other location at which sufficient
bandwidth is available). In this example, a stereo audio programme
is encoded by the unit on the left, is transported to the
unit at the streaming location over the network (or internet)
and from there is streamed to clients. |
|
|
In
this larger configuration, multiple units (at different locations)
Encode audio - the WebStream 1U units each encode one Stereo
programme, and the 3U unit can Encode multiple programmes.
The Encoded streams are transported over the network (or internet)
to the Streaming server location. Here one WebStream 3U unit
acts as the streaming server for all of the programmes and
serves these to the clients for all of the different programmes. |
